Hospitality painting

Restaurant painting that never costs you a service

Restaurants, pubs and hotels are judged the moment guests walk in, but you cannot close for a week to redecorate. Our restaurant decorators in London work after the last service, overnight and on closed days, and hand the room back clean and ready to open. We use hard-wearing, wipe-clean paints in dining rooms and food-safe coatings in kitchens.

  • Pubs and bars

Commercial kitchens

Food-safe coatings for commercial kitchens

Commercial kitchen walls and ceilings take steam, grease and daily cleaning. We degrease and key the surfaces, then apply coatings made for food areas, so they stay clean and ready for an environmental health inspection.

  • Food-safe

Coatings suitable for food preparation areas.

  • Grease-resistant

Surfaces that wipe clean instead of staining.

  • Scrubbable

Stand up to daily cleaning and steam.

  • Anti-bacterial

Paints with built-in protection against bacteria and mould.

Listed and heritage venues

Painting listed pubs and period buildings

Many of London’s best pubs and hotels are listed or in conservation areas. Modern plastic paints trap moisture in old walls and cause damage, so we use traditional, breathable materials and follow any listed building consent. Original features such as cornices, panelling and etched glass are protected throughout. Pub painting in heritage buildings is a speciality of our team, along with specialist finishes.

  • Limewash and breathable mineral paints
  • Linseed oil paint for historic joinery
  • Lime plaster and cornice repairs
  • Heritage colour schemes

FAQ

Restaurant and pub painting questions

How much does it cost to paint a restaurant or pub?

A front-of-house refresh for a small restaurant, café or bar usually costs from £1,800 to £6,000. Larger pubs, hotels and full refurbishments are priced from a survey. Overnight working, specialist kitchen coatings and heritage materials are itemised in the quote so you can see exactly where the money goes.

Can you paint overnight or on our closed days?

Yes, that is how most of our hospitality painting is done. We work after the last service, on closure days or in short phases, and leave the room clean, dry and ready for the next sitting.

Will there be a paint smell when we open?

We use low-odour, water-based paints in dining areas and ventilate as we work, so rooms are fresh by service. Stronger-smelling specialist coatings are planned for closure days.

Which paints do you use in commercial kitchens?

Food-safe, grease-resistant and scrubbable coatings, including anti-bacterial paints that meet hygiene standards. They resist steam and cleaning chemicals and are suitable for environmental health inspections.

Do you paint listed pubs and period hotels?

Yes. In listed and heritage venues we use traditional, breathable materials such as limewash and linseed oil paints, follow any listed building consent, and protect original features. We also do lime plastering and cornice repairs.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed for two years, and we use manufacturers’ systems that carry their own product guarantees where available.
